Confirmation will be celebrated at St. Joseph in the Spring of 2025. Those wishing to receive sacraments must be participating in formal religious formation the year prior to enrolling in formation per diocean guidelines. Any teen in or entering High School in the fall of 2024 is eligible for the formation year. Stewardship Opportunities

Looking for opportunities to share your gifts with the parish or larger community. 

The following ministries serve the parish:

Usher/Greeter: Our parish is in need of ushers to welcome and help parishioners and visitors at Mass. Contact the Youth Minister for direction to training.

Reader: Do you have the gift of speaking in front of people. Please try sharing God's word? Help reading during Mass and receive the benefits of participating deeper in our Liturgies! Contact the Youth Minister for direction to training.

Altar Servers: Get an up close view of what is happening at the Altar and help lead younger teens to assist in the Liturgy! Young men at the Altar give hope to our Church. Contact the Youth Minister for direction to training.

St. Vincent de Paul Food Distribution: Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, distrubtion at 10 am. Come and join the fun and feed
those in need.

The Life Teen high school youth ministry leads teens closer to Christ by reaching teens on social, emotional, spiritual & educational levels. Life Teen usually meets Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm (see calendar). Life Teen will be meeting the in St Gregory the Great Room. Youth group sessions incorporate teaching Catholic beliefs, interactive activities, and socialization. This year Confirmation formation will be meeting in conjunction with Life Teen gatherings. The members of Life Teen are eligible to attend various activities including retreats, mission trips, and the National Catholic Youth Conference.

You are able to register directly online by completing this form on this website or printing this form to turn into the parish office. 

Please be aware of the diocesan guidelines that require formal religious education participation at least the year prior to formation for a sacrament. In order to receive the Sacrament of Initiation in the Spring of 2025, teens must have participated in formal religious formation (Life Teen, EDGE, Catholic School or Home School). 

All Life Nights will be held in the St Gregory the Great Room unless otherwise noted.

This Year in Life Teen

Life Nights will include:

• The Mass. We will look at what is happening during Mass and how our Church, founded by Jesus, allows us to encounter the divine and human elements of the Living Christ.

• Scripture. We will be looking at the seven sacraments of the Church
  and how Christ continues to be present to us and dispense diving life into us through them.

• Social Justice. This year, teens will consider three big questions, "Why believe in God?", "Why trust Jesus?" and "Why be a part of the Church?" 
• Person of Christ
• Vocations

• Safe environment session is the diocesan required curriculum for Protecting God’s Children. We intended to discuss relationships and enhance communication of sexuality in the family.

 LIFE TEEN Breaks Bread before each gathering

Each Life Night  begins with a meal. Life Teen has been providing the meal. Please sign up to bring sides and/or desserts for one of the weeks during the next few weeks. Life Teen will provide the main dish, unless you wish to sign up for that too. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and a help to the costs to the church. Please contact Norma in the parish office with questions or if you wish for the church to order a meal (pizzas) for your donation. 

Frozen Cuppa Joe (Formerly Cuppa Joe Morning Prayer)

On June 7 & 21 and July 12 & 26 at 6:00 pm in the St. Gregory the Great Room, High School and Middle School youth will gather to have a milk shake and discussion. Frozen Cuppa Joe is a Gospel reflection with relevance to young people. Enter through the office doors or meet on the patio on Wednesdays. See you there. 


National Catholic Youth Conference 

National Catholic Youth Conference was held November 16-18, 2023 in Indianapolis with over 12,000 people gathering to celebrate our Catholic faith. In years past, St. Joseph teens and chaperones gathered with over 20,000 other Catholics from all over the United States. We served those in who experience hunger, participated in many different prayer exercises, participated in Mass with different bishops and heard some awesome speakers and musicians from all over. It was a moving experience for all. We are very thankful to all the parishioners who supported individual teens, and the pilgrim team through donations and fundraisers. We could have never had such a close group without everyone's help.
