Parish Council
The Parish Council is made up of representatives from each of the five working commissions. The council meets on the second Monday of each month during Leadership Night.
Parish Finance Council
The Parish Finance Council meets on the second Tuesday of the month, every other month. Its purpose is to ensure parish compliance with diocesan financial guidelines, develop and oversee the parish budget, conduct long-range financial planning, provide fiscal analysis, provide the parish with periodic reports on the financial position of the parish, review operating expenses as well as long term expenses and investments, and make recommendations on programs to enhance parish income. The council takes all of the various committees’ wants and needs under consideration when formulating the budget for the upcoming year.
Buildings and Grounds
Upkeep of our beautiful facility is managed by our maintenance staff. Projects include general maintenance, painting, minor electrical work, yard work, snow removal, building repairs as needed, and various other tasks as they arise.
Strategic Planning
This group's goal is to devise a parish strategic plan projected over five to seven years, to be reviewed semi-annually and updated annually. Contributions to the strategic planning process are welcome from any parishioner.
Parish Hall Rental
The Parish Hall is available for parishioners to rent subject to availability. A certificate of insurance, or the equivalent of, is required with:
1. Minimum policy limits of $1,000,000.
2. St. Joseph’s Church and Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana listed as additional insureds.
If the above is not available, a special event policy may be obtained through the diocese. The rental of the St. Joseph facility is subject to the approval of the pastor. In the event that a funeral dinner conflicts with a scheduled event, the renter is expected to work with the funeral dinner committee to arrange a mutually acceptable solution. A signed lease agreement, refundable damage deposit, custodial fee, and certificate of insurance must be filed with the parish office prior to the event.
Kitchen Committee
The Kitchen Committee oversees the use, maintenance and supplies of the parish kitchen. This committee meets on the third Thursday every other month.
